Bottled history:

How it is made

Red wine vinification, with maceration of the skins for around 15-20 days, and frequent, delicate pumping over. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 30-32°C. The wine is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 2 years.

Vintage 2016

The grapes are picked by hand. Red wine vinification, with maceration of the skins for 20-25 days, at controlled temperatures of up to 24°C.

For at least 24 months, in 50hl Slavonian oak barrels. The wine rests in the bottle for at least 4 months.

From the 21st September to the 10th October.

Average altitude of the vineyards
From 120 to 650m MSL.

Terrain type
The Montalcino hills have numerous soil profiles, as they formed in various geological eras, but they are primarily a shell-rich clay mix.

Training system
Mainly spurred cordon, but some use of Guyot.

The strength of the alcohol is supported by soft tannins with good acidity. It is warm with a long-lasting persistence.
