How it is made

Red wine vinification with maceration of the skins for around 10 days. A medium-length maceration provides the right balance between structure and perfume. Delicate pumping over, with fermentation at a temperature of 28-30°C.

Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand.Red wine vinification, with maceration of the skins for around 10 days, and frequent, delicate pumping over. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 24°C.

Aging
In steel, and then in the bottle, for 3 months

Harvest
Between the 20th September and the 10th October.

From 120 to 650m MSL

Terrain type
The Montalcino hills have numerous soil profiles, as they formed in various geological eras, but they are primarily a shell-rich clay mix.

Mainly spurred cordon, but some use of Guyot
