Leonardo is the greatest Genius of all time and all of his research had a specific purpose: to improve the knowledge and quality of life of man. Leonardo was a painter, inventor, scientist and also a Genius of wine. Among his studies there is also what, centuries later, would have been called "oenology". Leonardo's passion for this matter began in the Vinci countryside, among the hills and rows of vines owned by his family, the very same that surround Villa da Vinci today.
The Genio del Vino selection interprets Leonardo's multifaceted talent: his exceptional paintings, such as the Vergine delle Rocce (Virgin of the Rocks); his unrestrained imagination and the mathematical talent with which he drew the Map of Imola, which has become the label of the Pignoletto brut spumante; and finally his attitude towards nature and agriculture that derives from being raised in Vinci. A perfect mix of fantasy, ingenuity and landscape. It is precisely the eclecticism of Leonardo that makes him a contemporary genius, admired for centuries, and an inexhaustible source of inspiration all over the world.
